This is the day that my blog or rather first post has been made. As my beloved autumn begins I must admit that I am still reminiscing about the summer days and nights spent at my favourite spots in the city. So what better way to kick start than with my recent 'blocking awesome' birthday!
Location: St Pauls. I do love the hustle and bustle of the city. The streets were full of life on this evening. The program: A wonderful dinner at Haz followed by cocktails on the roof terrace at Madison Bar. A perfect night, even if I do say so myself.
For my birthday suit I went for something bright, whilst remaining true to my classic style of simplicity and elegance. There was a time when wearing pink, red and orange simultaneously was a complete no, no? Well I say it's a yes, YES! These vibrant, bold colours, pop against my skin and with so many different shades to suit; you too can colour block with confidence.
This look was perfectly complemented by both the suns rays and the hours of darkness. I will be sure to inject these colours into my autumn/winter wardrobe. It will certainly cheer me up on the grey days. Now there’s nothing wrong with a bit of grey...in your wardrobe at least. So I’m hoping the weather gods are reading this and will provide lots of sunshine and very little rain over the coming months (it’s terrible for the suede). Oh, did I mention how much I love suede footwear, hence the red stilettos with this look. One word timeless’. Personally I think suede looks better in almost every kind of shoe. Ok, so it may not always be practical but there is a style and grace with this material, that trumps practicality for me every day!
